Hi there, here's a little bit about Chris.
The Biker Photography thing...
Back in 2015 I was photographing a biker on a 1 to 1 session, when we were done he went on his way but I stayed. I started snapping the Bikers as they passed just because I could... The seed was then planted! I then started going out to do roadside sessions & then along came Covid & that stopped. Once we were able to play out again I started getting out a bit more building up my roadside days but it wasn't easy for bikers to find the galleries on my other website - I also do people photography under Chris Seaman Photography, so the Biker Images By Chris website, Facebook & Instagram pages were created back in 2021 to make it easier to find the galleries & other info.
You won't find dozens of images of you to go through in my roadside galleries, I only put on the ones that I think you will like, so not loads of similar looking images of you heading by me as you pass along the road, maybe just two or three - unless you've made several passes (recommended). Also there will be no images of you & your bike 'chopped off' just the full image of you & your bike. I'm sure you don't want to be scrolling through thousands of images of other bikers just to find yours? I know some other Biker Photographers do tend to upload just about every image to get the galleries up very quickly (That obviously works for them & as far as I'm concerned it's all good, we all seem to work differently at the end of the day), but personally I would rather give you the better images that I have taken, even if it takes a little bit longer.
You will notice that I use a slower shutter speed than some of the other roadside biker photographers to get some 'movement' in the images. You won't find static wheels/tyres & brake disks frozen like you are standing still with the bike stand 'edited out' like some other photographers do, yes their images are very sharp all over & that's how they work & it's their way of working but not my way. It's not as easy how I work, but I work differently to those photographers to create that more dramatic image that makes you look like you are moving.
So now a bit about me.
I'm a Norfolk lad now living in North Yorkshire. Why the move up North? Apart from Photography & Bikes, I love mountains, hills & all that outdoorsy sort of stuff.
My love of photography started back in the early 80's, I took photo's of just about anything I could back then! That seed was planted & I've been snapping ever since, I even had my own Wedding & Portrait Photography business back in the late 90's for a few years. I moved to Thirsk, North Yorkshire in 2000 & decided that the photo business was not going with me! 2004 came along & a move over to Cumbria happened. October 2025 saw a move back to North Yorkshire, but only just - to the Ingleton area.
I am a registered member of The Guild Of Photographers - a highly regarded professional body.
My love of Motorcycles came in 1985, a couple of years previously I had moved a few miles away from my local town ( & my mates ) & when I got fed up of relying on public transport decided to get a motorbike, that was it... 100cc & I thought I was the bee's knees! I passed my test in 1989, allegedly I was one of the first to have my test using the then new intercom system instead of a bloke standing on the roadside with a clipboard waving, shouting & pointing.
I've had a few bikes over the years, my favourite was a Kawasaki GPz900R & I absolutely loved that bike, it got right under my skin & I get very nostalgic when I see one! At present I have a Suzuki Bandit.
So if you live in the North/North West of England you might just see me out & about at some point, either roadside or at a bike night snapping, or I might even be at the odd bike night as a biker...
